When you think you're done...

When you think you're done, everything goes up in smoke. Why? Because some nobody of a character you mentioned while typing it (your book) up starts pounding on the door, wanting more than he deserves.
Beware these unruly beings, but if one does happen to come along, it might make your life easier and get rid of almost all of your problems if you just let them have what they want.
I've recently had this happen to my twice. The first time, I gave in and ended up having a remarkable change in my rather "pathetic" idea. The second time, I didn't have much room left in the house, so I let him have his say, gave him a bit of food, and then turned him out.
